eyeliner aftercare
*following aftercare is VERY important and will affect how your tattoo will heal*
The rest of the day: Don't touch your eyelids or wear contact lenses for 24 hours after the procedure.
Starting the following day: Your eyelids may be puffy and swollen, this will only last 1-2 days. Apply a clean cold compress and take Advil to help with any swelling and soreness.
The first week: Don’t let the eye area get wet (showering / swimming / excessive sweating). Wash your face outside of the shower at the sink. Only touch your eyes while putting in/taking out contact lenses, and always use clean hands. Use a clean, dry spoolie to gently brush away any flaking that has flaked off the tattoo, do not pull any flakes off.

DURING THE HEALING PROCESS, AVOID FOR AT LEAST 7 DAYS:
THE HEALING PROCESS:
Your eyeliner will go through a few different 'phases' while healing. The exact length of the healing process varies depending on your age, skin type, lifestyle choices, how well you adherence to aftercare protocols, etc. This infographic timeline shows approximate days of healing, yours may be +/- a day or two.

AFTER YOUR EYELINER is HEALED:
After the first week thru 10 days, your eyeliner may seem healed on the surface, but underneath your skin pigment takes time to resurface. Results should not be critiqued until at least 3 weeks post-procedure. When it comes to healing, the variables are unending and everyone's skin reacts differently to PMU. This is why it is a TWO-STEP PROCESS; the initial session, and the touch-up session. The touch-up appointment is mandatory to perfect your eyeliner; to address any small areas that may have healed lighter, color can be adjusted, and the thickness and/or wing can be added. The touch-up is also an opportunity to go a little bolder once you have 'lived' with your new liner and feel more comfortable with the process.
**Results vary per individual, dependent upon skin type, how well you follow pre-care/aftercare, and lifestyle. Results are not guaranteed. Two sessions are required for optimal long-term results.**
